Seamless from start to finish, it is framed by firm, integrated tannins. Aged 16 months in both French and American oak, it will age easily for 5 or more years. pH:3.80, Cabernet Franc 64%, Cabernet Sauvignon 31%, Syrah Noir 5%. Purchase this Wine

Ripe loganberry and pomegranate notes combine with sweet vanilla in our 2007 Walla Walla Syrah. The palate is soft and spicy, integrates seamlessly with the nose, and continues in a long, persistent finish. Perfect growing conditions and the blend of two outstanding vineyard sites has yielded a wine of remarkable depth, concentration, and complexity. It will age nicely for at least 8-10 years. If you love big Syrah, don't miss this wine. pH:3.83, Syrah, Phelps Clone 100%, Seven Hills Vineyard 67%, Pepper Bridge Vineyard 33%. Purchase this Wine

Tempranillo Umpqua Valley 2007

2007 Tempranillo Umpqua Valley: SOLD OUT

A cooler fall in 2007 contributed to slower fruit ripening and to more complex fruit character. On the nose, our 2007 Tempranillo has an inviting, soft, floral note combining with raspbrery, spicy red currant, and warm vanilla in the background. On the palate, red currant and powdered cocoa are framed by chewy tannins in a lingering finish. Aged 16 months in 34% new American Oak and 17% new French Oak, it should age nicely for 5-7 years, but you may have difficulty waiting that long. ph: 3.82, Tempranillo 87%, Syrah 13%. 2008 Phinny Hill Vineyard Carmenere Red Wine

2008 Phinny Hill Vineyard Carmenere, Columbia Valley: $35.00 90 points, Wine and Spriits Magazine SOLD OUT

Ripe red and black fruit, spice, pepper, coffee, and a core of chocolate frame a rich, full bodied wine.  On the palate, fruit and spice are given weight by fully integrated tannins, a rich mid-palate, and a long finish of spice.  95% Carmenere, 5% Syrah. Purchase this Wine

2008 Seven Hills Vineyard Syrah Walla Walla, Oregon Red Wine

2008 Seven Hills Vineyard Syrah, Oregon's Walla Walla Valley: SOLD OUT

On the nose, ripe loganberry melds with sweet oak and toast.  On the palate, this medium weight, soft wine displays red and dark fruit, vanilla, and spice while it seemlessly integrates into the finish.  While 14% alcohol is no lightweight, this wine is more approachable in its youth than our 2006 and 2007 Syrahs.  100% Syrah. Purchase this Wine

2008 Hogback Ridge Vineyard Columbia Valley Oregon Malbec Red Wine

2008 Hogback Ridge Vineyard Malbec, Oregon's Columbia Valley: SOLD OUT

Bramble blackberry, vanilla, coffee and tar notes combine to create a complex wine of depth and persistence.  While fully integrated tannins make this wine drink well now, you will be rewarded by cellaring for 3-5 years.  87% Malbec, 8% Cabernet Franc, 5% Syrah. Purchase this Wine

2008 Umpqua Valley Tempranillo Red Wine Oregon

2008 Umpqua Valley Tempranillo: SOLD OUT

Unfolding layers of ripe blackberry, licorice, tobacco, and spice are supported and framed by teeth coating, chewy tannins and a long finish.  This is a mouthful of spicy Tempranillo fruit complemented by the sweet vanilla of American oak (68%) and cedar and coffee notes of French oak (32%).  85% Tempranillo, 12% Syrah, 3% Malbec. Selecting Grapes for Our Red Wines

We have a variety of wines produced from grapes grown in vineyards of Oregon and Washington. We make only big red wines that mature in oak barrels for a minimum of 16 months. Our wines are extracted, meaning we let the fruit hang on the vine as long as possible to maximize fruit flavors, while still striving for balance with fruit acid. Our winemaking style is to handle the fruit minimally to allow its true expression. Our wines tend to be firm with full tannic structure, rich mid-palates, and long finishes. Most of our wines will age gracefully for at least 5-7 years and some for much longer.
